Cognitive research

Within the domain of Human Machine Interaction is a domain focused on the direct measurement of brain signals, namely the area of cognitive research. One can think of studies that involve stress and the use of new products or designs or the measurement of brain activity to monitor learning or task performance. Quite often this therefore involves physiological measurements ranging from heart-rate to skin conductance (stress) and EEG (Electroencephalography) recordings.
