Exposure therapy

Within the health domain, sits the area of exposure therapy. This is a form of cognitive psychology in which controlled exposure to, for example, the source of a phobia will allow the participant to detach the fear from the object. Most common within the BMS faculty is the use of immersive exposure therapy, which uses Virtual Reality (VR) experiences to simulate and otherwise fearful situation.
