Qualitative research is common within the social sciences. When individual input, nuance or expertise is too important or the research model is exploratory, you will more often see a good fit between qualitative research methods and a research question. Within organizational design there often is a limited number of participants of which you want to learn more and gain a deeper insight, thus qualitative research is a good fit with this domain. A common means of acquiring qualitative data is through interviews that can be recorded, transcribed, coded and analyzed using the equipment and software of the BMS lab.
