Risk and safety forms a major focus within the BMS faculty in general and the domain of human behavior research specifically. Within the research area the focus is on deception, negotiations and acceptance testing. More importantly, how do participants deal with uncertainty and feelings of being safe or unsafe? Studies in this area focus heavily on the use of virtual reality (VR), physiological measurements, like heart rate and skin conductance and the use of recording and text and audio analysis tools.
