Spring in XR

The BMS Lab is inviting you to the Spring in XR event – an event that focuses on immersion in XR and how different industries value the importance of immersion for XR. The term XR encapsulates augmented (AR), virtual (VR), and mixed (MR) realities. During the event, you will get the opportunity to learn more about our experiences with XR through our staff’s stories, the lab itself, as well as take part in the discussion with our panellists from a diverse set of both academic and commercial backgrounds. Lastly, you may take part in the Think Tank session, where you will get the opportunity to tackle a challenge within the domain of XR with a group, present your solutions and win a prize!

Think Thank topics are:

  • Five Senses in XR: What role do the five senses play in creating truly immersive XR experiences, and how can more compelling experiences be created?
  • Creating Engaging XR Experiences: How can we design XR experiences that maximize user engagement and immersion? What are the key factors that contribute to an immersive experience, and how can we measure them?
  • Building XR Communities: How can we build communities around XR technologies and foster collaboration between developers, researchers, and other stakeholders? What are the best ways to connect people who are passionate about XR and create a supportive ecosystem for innovation?
  • Measuring the Impact of XR: How can we measure the impact of XR technologies on different industries and user groups? What metrics should we use to evaluate the effectiveness of XR experiences, and how can we ensure that these metrics are meaningful and accurate?

Overall, the outcomes of these topics could help to advance the field of XR, improve the quality and accessibility of immersive experiences for users across different industries and domains, involve different stakeholders and build communities.

Join us and have an inspiring afternoon at the BMS Lab!
